Maxxis BIKE Transalp 2023 –The high-proof anniversary cocktail

You take 24 years of BIKE Transalp, pour the best spots, trails and panoramas into a flask and distil the essence. And then you present it for the anniversary with great fanfare! So here it is, Transalp number 25, the one with the silver laurel wreath. Fast and dirty, epic and enchanting, unexpected and exciting – this route provides proof: it is still possible to seek adventure in the mountains. The most extravagant places in Transalp history are on the route: the tank barriers on the Plamort with a view of the Ortler, the Alta Via Camuna, a dream trail somewhere between earth and sky, the Passo Bregn da l'Ors, where you can grasp the mighty walls of the Brenta with your hands, and the Passo Tremalzo, a world star among mountain bike spots. But even after 25 years, there is still so much to discover out there: 3-Länder Enduro Trails that didn't even exist back then, hidden trails in the Valle del Chiese that are only now being discovered by bikers, incredible panoramic paths high above Bormio, close to old Transalp routes, yet never ridden.
