Event RESCUE TEAM
With his Event Rescue Team Andreas Hamel is considered one of the founding members of the BIKE Transalp. Many of his innovative Ideas are nowadays widely acknoledged standard operating procedures for search and rescue missions under expedition conditions.
The safety and well-being of participants and spectators of the event alike, is guaranteed by a team of paramedics, nurses, emergency coordinators and doctors, who are trained in the many different fields of emergency medicine.
The team is equipped with two ambulances and a variety of off-road motorcycles. Especially the latter allow for providing medical attention with minimal delay even in the most remote and exposed areas.
